Malcolm D. Schick is a native of Kingston, New York. He attended Marist College, in Poughkeepsie, New York, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science in 1981 and moved to San Diego the same year. In San Diego, he earned his Juris Doctorate from Western State University, College of Law in 1984. There he was the President of the Student Bar Association and contributing writer for the school newspaper.

Mr. Schick became a partner with Gray & Prouty, shortly after joining the firm in 1992. In 2011, Mr. Schick purchased the Civil Litigation Division of Gray & Prouty and founded G&P | SCHICK. He operated that firm for 15 years as sole owner and as its principal Trial attorney.

After 40 years of practice, on December 31, 2025, Mr. Schick disbanded G&P|SCHICK. Shortly thereafter, he joined Prindle, Goetz, Barnes & Reinholtz, LLP and now serves in an of-counsel capacity.

Mr. Schick is admitted to practice before all the Courts of the State of California and various United States District Courts in California.
