Melissa Price-Matovich attended California State University, Long Beach and graduated in 1987. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, she attended Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles & received her Juris Doctor degree in 1990.
Melissa actively competed in the Moot Court Honors Program, attending the William B. Spong Moot Court Invitational Tournament held at William & Mary Law School in Virginia. She also received the prestigious American Jurisprudence Award in Appellate Advocacy.
In 1990, she was admitted to the California State Bar. Ms. Matovich worked as a partner at a large firm before joining Prindle, Goetz, Barnes & Reinholtz. She has exclusively practiced Workers’ Compensation defense and has been a California State Bar Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist since 2003.
Melissa has represented insurance entities, third party administrators
and a vast range of employers. She has extensive trial experience at multiple boards in California. Well versed in discovery tactics, she has deposed and cross-examined countless injured workers, physicians and witnesses during her career. She has successfully resolved numerous litigated injury cases including high-value
claims and catastrophic injuries involving traumatic brain injury and paraplegia in addition to defending employers from 132a discrimination allegations and serious and willful misconduct claims.
