Lauren S. Gafa

Lauren Gafa graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2011, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. As an undergraduate, Ms. Gafa began working for Ralphs Grocery Company, and upon obtaining her Bachelor's degree, was promoted to Litigation Support Specialist for the company's Legal Department. Ms. Gafa continued her work for the organization while attending Southwestern Law School part-time and obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2017.

During her career at Southwestern, Ms. Gafa served on the Executive Boards of the Southwestern Law Review, the Women's Law Association, and the Public Interest Law Committee. She received the CALI “Excellence for the Future Award” in Torts as well as a Bluebook award. Additionally, Ms. Gafa received scholarships from the Mexican American Bar Foundation, the California Grocers Association Educational Foundation, the Kroger Co. Foundation as well as the Southwestern Law School Alumni Scholarship, Paul & Phyllis Treusch Scholarship, and the Ethel & Irwin Buchalter Scholarship.  She externed for several government entities including the City Attorney, District Attorney, and Public Defender's offices and graduated on the Dean’s List in the top 20% of her class.

Ms. Gafa joined Prindle, Goetz, Barnes & Reinholtz LLP as an associate in 2017. Her practice primarily focuses on the defense of healthcare professionals, products liability, employment law and environmental torts.  She is admitted to practice in California as well as the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
